An update from Babyland.

My cousin’s wife had their triplets on Friday. Joseph, Samuel and Vivien came into the world two months early and after a difficult pregnancy, as to be expected when you’re squeezing three babies where only one was meant to grow. By some miracle all three youngsters are healthy, not one respirator in the gang!

My niece, who just turned two in June, told me the best story I’d heard in quiet some time yesterday. It started out like any other fairy tale, with a princess in a castle. However, in this particle story, the princess did not hide away in the tallest tower waiting to be rescued by her prince. Instead she killed the evil dragon herself. Imagine that, a self sustaining princess? (take that, Kate Middleton!) 

If the kid is telling stories like this at two years old I can’t wait to see what she does when she’s twenty.
